Telecoms Engineer turned IT Manager. Bridging deep technical expertise with cross-industry leadership at multinational level.
15+ years in IT — from hands-on engineering to leading complex programs across global industries.
Based in Barcelona, I'm a Telecoms Engineer working as Senior IT Program Manager at dsm-firmenich, a global company operating across nutrition, health and beauty. I started my career in network engineering and transitioned into management in 2015 — since then delivering high-visibility global programs with budget ownership, executive reporting, and cross-functional teams spanning multiple countries and vendors.
My track record covers four industries: chemical, pharma, aeronautical and automotive — each with its own regulatory constraints, stakeholder culture and delivery pace. That breadth shapes how I approach complexity: with structure, adaptability, and a bias for clarity over process. I've also served as TFM Tutor at La Salle University (Barcelona), guiding Master's students through their final projects in Project Management.
I write about practical PM and leadership at pmtricks.net and on Medium. Away from work, I play padel, hit the gym, and read — mostly fantasy and historical fiction (Sanderson, Gómez-Jurado, Molist).

It has been great working with Oscar. His professional mindset and solid organizational skills were highly appreciated across our team. He boarded a complex ongoing project, quickly owned it and applied his methodology to drive it to success.

I have worked with Oscar in complex pharmaceutical projects and I can say he's a skilled IT professional, available, friendly and result oriented. Ability to manage multiple issues, good communication and time management make Oscar a very good professional in his role.

During his time working with us, Oscar has been performing two roles. As PMO Manager, he introduced improvements in our project management methodology and portfolio reporting. As Project Manager he carried out competently major projects requiring strong organizational skills.
